The Beauty Inside, A Social Film That Will Unfold on Facebook & Will Star Chosen Fans

The Beauty Inside

The Beauty Inside is an ‘interactive social film’ with a story that will unfold on the film’s Facebook timeline and will star Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Topher Grace and chosen Facebook fans that audition for a lead role. It will consist of “six filmed episodes, audience-created content and many online conversations over the course of 6 weeks.” The plot follows Alex, a gentleman who rolls out of bed every day looking like a different person (it’s how audience members can get a part). The twist is that he ends up falling in love and his ever-changing looks might be a problem for his new love interest.

The Beauty Inside is presented by Intel and Toshiba (to promote the Ultrabook) and is directed by Drake Doremus. Auditions are being taken until September 13, 2012 and episode 1 (of 6) premieres on August 16, 2012 at 3 PM PST.

The Beauty inside is Hollywood’s first film that gives the audience a chance to play the lead role.

Here’s the film’s trailer:

How to Access YouTube in China - Effective Strategies to Unblock Social Media Sites

Why You Can't Access YouTube in China

If you're currently in China right now for travel or business, you are probably aware that you no longer have access to YouTube and many other social media sites, including Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. YouTube has been usually blocked by many governments for a short amount of time. A recent example of this is not being able to access YouTube in China.

This is a classic example of government censorship. The government blocks these websites and takes away your freedom to information, which many of us take for granted.

So how to you access YouTube in China, as well as Facebook and Twitter? Simple- use a proxy.

Using Proxy Services to Access YouTube in China

However, there are many alternatives to access YouTube in China. One of them is to use proxy servers for blocked sites. Proxies like KProxy and vTunnel do not require you to make any changes to your browser settings.

For these kinds of sites, just type in the blocked website you want to access in the URL box, and the proxy will automatically take you to the site. The problem is that free proxy servers tend to be slow because lots of people use them to make their traffic anonymous. However, many times, free proxies still do not unblock YouTube, Facebook or Twitter.

Be Careful with Certain Proxies that Unblock YouTube in China

Some other proxies require you to download the program, and to enable you to browse the web anonymously and be able to access YouTube in China. These proxies work faster and more efficiently than web proxies. However, most proxy software require money. Personally, I would stay away from these since they may install adware and spyware on your computer.

Proxies like Skydur do have a Lite version that is free. But in the free/lite version only Facebook can be accessed. Some proxy software's like ProXPN may cause you to lose you current internet connection, but still enable you to use their proxy which becomes an inconvenience. Also, with other proxies, the only websites you can access are the ones that you need to unblock.

As an alternative, many families living in China buy and pay for their own personal VPN. These VPNs work fast and are the most efficient, but they do cost money and require a monthly trial.

The Best Proxy Service in China- My Review

A couple of weeks ago, I arrived in China from the US. I wasn't aware that YouTube, Facebook and other social media sites were blocked. I was really annoyed when I couldn't access YouTube in particular since my business required me to watch tutorial videos. Also I wanted to unblock Facebook so I could catch up with my friends back home.

I tried multiple proxies- most of them were worthless. They took forever to load and wouldn't even unblock YouTube. I finally stumbled upon a proxy called SecuriTales, which offered me a free trial BEFORE asking for personal information. I gave it a shot and loved it. It was the only proxy that allowed me to access YouTube in China. The pages loaded really quickly too! I'm excited to watch videos on the web and chat with my friends on Facebook.

Check out the author's section for more information on the service, including how to get an immediate discount after your trial.
