Somebodies, Gotye Takes Fan-Made Covers & Makes a Mashup Video

Gotye (aka Wally De Backer) created Somebodies: A YouTube Orchestra, a crowdsourced music video that features a bunch of fan-made covers and parodies of his hit song, Somebody That I Used to Know. The full list of every YouTube video he sourced in this meta-mashup video is available at his blog.

Reluctant as I am to add to the mountain of interpretations of Somebody That I Used To Know seemingly taking over their own area of the internet, I couldn’t resist the massive remixability that such a large, varied yet connected bundle of source material offered.

Here’s the original music video:

America in 2012: City of Houston Releases Video on What to Do During an Office Shooting

The city of Houston and the Department of Homeland Security have teamed up to produce this pretty intense public-service video on how to respond in the event that a gunman goes on a rampage at your office, and even though the massacre in Aurora didn't take place in an office setting, this does seem like well-timed advice. According to the video, the three best options are, in order: run, hide, or fight. Do not just continue working as normal.

A platform of one’s own: Video Game High School takes control

What happens when a creator uses a highly-anticipated web series to launch a new website? The creators of Video Game High School found out when the highly-anticipated web series debuted on Rocket Jump — bringing millions of views to a platform they fully controlled.

10287-offsite_resizing_videogamehighschool_trailer

For a few years now, creators have relied on portals like YouTube and Blip for both hosting and discovery — but third-party hosting means ceding some amount of control over your content. And as the space evolves, other strategies are beginning to emerge.

When the web series Video Game High School made headlines with the enthusiastic response to its Kickstarter campaign, there was no denying that the scripted comedy fantasy about a school for video game fanatics would find an audience online — especially given that it was co-created by Brandon Laatsch and Freddie Wong, AKA FreddieW, who has built a strong fanbase on YouTube with his blend of comedy, VFX and gaming references.

But Video Game High School wasn’t your ordinary web series release — because it drove the launch of the independent content platform Rocket Jump.

Building upon Wong’s pre-established audience online, and also drawing content from creators like Corridor Digital and Feast of Fiction, Rocket Jump uses a proprietary video player to host content for, according to the site’s About page, “people willing to stand on that razor’s edge of the envelope that gets pushed outside the box.”

Video Game High School was Rocket Jump’s first big release, with episodes released first to the Rocket Jump site, and then, a week later, uploaded to YouTube. And the strategy paid off. Numbers provided to us by the Collective (and independently verified by Visible Measures) showed that the series has so far, between YouTube and Rocket Jump, received 31.5 million views.

And while 24.4 million of those views — approximately two-thirds — came from YouTube, the remaining 6.9 million came from Rocket Jump. Most importantly, episode-to-episode, YouTube viewership remained consistent, but on Rocket Jump, viewership grew as the series progressed — increasing audience throughout the course of the campaign.

“We were able to drive real audience and grow that audience on a proprietary platform — without cannibalizing our YouTube audience. In that case it was a tremendous success,” Dan Weinstein of Collective Digital Studio, which co-produced and co-distributed the series, said via phone.

Rocket Jump, according to Weinstein, isn’t meant to replace the team’s YouTube presence — instead, “It’s about expanding their brand and providing a different level of engagement for their audience.”

But building an independent platform for their content has a number of advantages for the Rocket Jump team. First, it means that unlike YouTube, they have a greater level of control over the advertising appearing with their content: Rocket Jump videos currently include video pre-rolls as well as banner ads.

In addition, the Collective — which represents Rocket Jump in dealings with advertisers and sponsors — has a clearly defined property to offer. “Brands know who Freddie is,” Weinstein said. “Add in Rocket Jump, something [that's] owned 100 percent, and it’s another tool in the arsenal.”

But it’s not just the FreddieW show, either: Like other online video brands built around a central personality, such as Chris Hardwick’s Nerdist empire, Rocket Jump has the potential to grow into something much larger than one person. “It was meant to be bigger than the FreddieW brand,” Weinstein said. “They built it to be bigger than themselves.”

The Rocket Jump strategy wouldn’t necessarily work for anyone, especially the lesser-known independent creator. “It takes a large dedicated fanbase to migrate the experience to an owned and operated website,” Weinstein said. But for the right content, there might be life outside of YouTube.

YouTube Video Converter - How to Convert FLV to iPhone, iPod, MP4, AVI, MPEG

YouTube must be the famous video share website. As it does not provide downloading till now, we have to enjoy the video online. But there are many YouTube downloaders on the Internet, online downloader or free YouTube downloader. You can easily find them by Google.

But there are so many reasons you are not willing to choose the online YouTube downloader:

1. Online YouTube video downloader always has many advertisements, pop up windows, it makes us crazy.

2. Error. Some websites always gives the result that they can not find the URL.

3. Can not see the download progress and the size of the YouTube video files.

Billons of people watch YouTube everyday, but only few of them can enjoy them off line. But the situation is: We are not satisfied with only download the videos, we need play them even play them on iPod, iPhone, Zune and PSP.

Then we need a YouTube download and a YouTube player and a YouTube converter. There are too many tools we need download or buy. In my opinion, I recommend Cucusoft YouTube Mate for the next reasons.

1 Cucusoft is a famous producer as I know, its' products were recommended on many download websites.

2 Cucusoft YouTube Mate includes a Free YouTube video downloader. If you only need a downloader, you won't worry about the spyware or adware of this software.

3 Supports the basic formats of the video files you can convert to.

By the way, there are some advices when you choose a video converter not only YouTube Video Converter:

1 Easy to use: As a beginner, easy to handle is always the basic request of a video converter. You won't want to find the converter button for minutes.

2 Speed: A good video converter should take seconds or minutes, but too it shouldn't too slow.

3 Quality: Some freeware can convert the video too, but the quality is really bad.

YouTube SEO - 5 Step Formula To Dominate YouTube and Google With Video SEO

"YouTube SEO" - In this article we discuss YouTube SEO and Video Optimization -- how to optimise your YouTube videos and your YouTube channel. You can expect to get a lot of traffic from YouTube and Google is you optimise correctly and what I want to do in this video is show you my 5 Step Formula I use whenever I create a video to enable me to get a lot more views, to be shared and "go viral" and also get a lot more traffic back to my website.

Now the first step is KEYWORDS. Now, there is a lot of software out there to help, something I use on a regular basis is the Google Keyword Tool -- just Google it and you'll find it. You can then work out what keywords you want to target -- keywords that are relevant and profitable (not fr*ee tips for example). So work out what your keywords are that are going to help you target those because that's what's going to help you get a ton of traffic. The tip here is to choose a keyword that has low competition and high search volume. That's really important as that's going to help you rank on the first page of Google and on the first page of YouTube.

The 2nd step is about creating real high-quality CONTENT. So what you're creating your videos think about your best and most valuable tips that you can give to people because you're much more likely to be shared then. Video is much more likely to go viral as people share video and as a result if you can share some awesome tips on what you're discussing, people will share it with people they know and as a result you start getting a lot more traffic as well. So this is another great tip -- make sure the quality of the content is always top notch.

Next, make sure you're always building your COMMUNITY. The more subscribers and friends you have on YouTube, the better your YouTube Channel will be ranked. YouTube and Google are really looking for this and when your YouTube Channel page rank goes up, all of your video rankings will go up too. This means you can create just one subsequent video, optimise it just for the keywords and you're immediately get straight to the top of YouTube as YouTube will get to trust you for the high quality content and that's what they are looking for. YouTube are not necessarily looking for the longevity of anyone's content, they are looking for fresh content. And this is what's really useful for you and I -- when we create a video we can expect to be on the first page of Google and YouTube (see the proof), especially when we've targeted the keywords correctly. That's really important -- always make sure you're building your community.

Next... BACK LINKS. Now, we're talking about "do follow" back links and this is where we get other websites to embed our videos or talk about you and create content that links back to our 'stuff'. If you can get the anchor text (the words within the copy that are active links back to our information), to be our keywords and linked back to your VIDEO... Something that people rarely do -- if you can get those back links back to your channel or video, that's going to be really helpful for your Channel page rank and again your videos will go up the search page rankings again -- both on the first page of Google and the first page of YouTube. Really clever, powerful and a little sneaky! So make sure you implement that tactic!

Final step? REGULAR videos. A lot of people think, "Well if I create a load of videos all on 1 day and upload them all on 1 day that will be great!" - this is not a good strategy. What you want to do instead is leak it out over time -- instead of releasing your videos all on one day, just make sure you release one video one day and another video the next day and keep it regular. The reason being is because YouTube look at you as a Channel. Your viewers are actual people (yes, I know!) and people don't want loads of content all on 1 day -- you want to be trickling it out on a regular basis because this is what's going to be much more enjoyable and much more engaging for your viewers.

So, that's the 5 strategies -- make sure you've got your KEYWORDS sorted, make sure you're creating quality CONTENT, make sure you're constantly building your COMMUNITY, getting BACK LINKS and bringing out REGULAR content. These are 5 tips that are really useful for you if you're looking to create videos that go straight to the top of YouTube and Google. This will definitely help you get a lot more views, get a lot more traffic and as a result become a lot more successful.

I hope you've enjoyed this video and if you want to get more tips and videos just like these, then go to my website and you'll be able to get your hands on loads of strategies to ensure your video marketing strategies are maximized.

Slow YouTube Video Loading - How To Resolve Slow YouTube Loadup Times In An Instant

YouTube may be one of the most popular websites for watching videos in the World, but it's continually causing a huge number of problems due to its videos taking a long time to load up. There can be a number of issues leading YouTube videos to take a while to load, but fortunately for us, there are a series of common problems which can continually cause a lot of issues for the videos you wish to watch. This tutorial is going to show you a simple way to resolve the problems you're seeing with slow loading YouTube videos.

What Is Causing The Slow YouTube Video Load Speed?

The problems with your YouTube videos will likely be down to one of these 3 issues:

The "Flash Player" of your PC is damaged
The registry of your computer is not working correctly
Windows has errors
Your web browser is somehow corrupted

The basic cause of the problems is all down to the way in which your PC will be unable to use the files & settings required to load up the necessary functions to play YouTube videos on your system. Whenever you play a YouTube movie on your computer, it will have to first download onto your computer and then be played. Despite this normally working, it's often going to be causing a huge number of problems that will make the videos load up slow.

How To Fix Slow Loading YouTube Videos

The main issue causing the slow loading to occur is all down to the way in which your computer will be unable to actually download the movie from YouTube in the first place. Whenever a movie is "buffering", it basically means that it's downloading onto your PC and will then be played. You first need to ensure the Internet settings of your computer are correct, and that your connection is fast.

If you find the Internet settings of your computer are working correctly, you should then look to fix any potential software issues that your PC may have. It's often the case that registry errors, or problems with the web browsers of your computer, will be preventing the YouTube videos from loading. To fix this, click onto "Start > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs" and then remove the web browser from your PC. After that, restart your system and then re-install it.

Finally, you should also clean out the registry of Windows by using a registry cleaner. The registry is basically a big directory of all the settings your computer will use to run, and is vitally important for the smooth operation of your web browsers. Unfortunately, this database will continually cause a lot of errors, often leading YouTube videos to take much longer to load up. To repair this problem, you need to download a registry cleaner, install it and then let it fix any possible errors your computer may have leading your YouTube videos to be loading up slowly.

You can stop slow YouTube loading by using the tutorial and tools on our website. You can Click Here to stop slow YouTube video loading on your PC.

Online Video and YouTube Marketing - How to Overcome the Biggest Challenges Most People Face

You know that online video is a big deal. And you also know that YouTube - which only recently celebrated its fifth anniversary - is the biggest thing in the online video space. You could say that YouTube is to the world of online video what Facebook is to the world of social networking and what Google is to the world of Web search (Google, incidentally, owns YouTube).

In case you haven't seen some of recent numbers (as of May 2010) that attest to the popularity of the king of Internet video, here they are:

YouTube is the third most visited website in the world - behind Facebook (#2) and Google #1)

There are more than 2 billion video views on YouTube every day - which is nearly double the prime-time audience of all three major U.S. broadcast networks combined

There are more than 24 hours of video uploaded to YouTube every minute

The average person spends 15 minutes per day on YouTube

More video is uploaded to YouTube every 60 days than all three major U.S. networks created in 60 years

Numbers like those - coupled with the fact that a good online video can easily go viral - make video and YouTube a marketers dream.

YouTube and Online Marketing Aren't Just For Big Corporations

The benefits of online video and YouTube aren't reserved only for big corporate marketers. In fact, some of the most successful YouTube videos have been produced by ordinary, everyday people - many of whom have become overnight sensations after their videos went viral.

How To Get Free Traffic From YouTube Using The Video Response Technique

If you have videos uploaded to YouTube and you are not using this technique you are throwing away perfectly good targeted traffic. Here is how it works:

You can not only comment on other people's videos on YouTube with a written comment but you can respond to a YouTube media using a clip of your own. YouTube has a way that you can record a video of yourself directly from your webcam or your can choose to use a media clip that is already in uploaded to your YouTube channel as a response to somebody else's movie. Essentially a video response is a filmed comment. You are making a comment on a video with your own media clip instead of writing a comment.

This technique really works to get free traffic to your website. I did a test. I set up a YouTube account and uploaded about 40 versions of the same movie. (YouTube only allows you to upload the same exact short film to your YouTube account once but if you edit each video slightly it becomes a unique video to YouTube even though essentially it is the same video.)

I did not do any type of promotion for these videos except that I used each video as a video response to another popular video in my niche on YouTube. Here is a sample of the results after one month:

2923 views of my videos in one month using this technique. Over a period of a year that would be 36,000 free views of my videos just by using the videos to respond to other popular videos. Not bad!

Now if you are in a super popular niche you could have better success. But the bottom line is that if you have videos on YouTube right now and they are NOT being used to respond to other people's videos you are losing traffic.

It is very easy to do a video response.

1. Log into your YouTube account.

2. Use YouTube's search feature to look for a popular video on your topic. If you want to find the most viewed under "search options" sort by "view count" and you will get the most popular videos first.

3. Once you find the video you want to respond to then click the white space where you could make a written comment. A little icon will appear which says "Attach A Video." If you are logged into your YouTube account you will see a list of YouTube videos that are in your YouTube account.

4. Click on the video in your account that you want to be used as a video response.

5. Click "Use The Selected Video" button.

That is it. Now your video will be a video response to that video. When people look in the comments are of the video they will see your response video. Not too many people outside the internet marketing field are using this technique. Some channel owners will have this feature blocked or they have their settings set so that they must approve the video response but many do not.

So go to your YouTube account now and start using your videos to respond to other videos and start getting your free traffic now! If you found this post helpful please like it in Facebook and comment.

Increasing Your YouTube Video View Count

So your videos are not getting much views on YouTube? Don't worry it's fixable and doesn't take that much effort. If you follow what I am about to tell you, I guarantee you will see a great increase in subscribers, views and comments on YouTube channel.

Providing relevant video titles and descriptions

I see this happen a lot, a good video is uploaded but due to the description it is hidden from view and lies somewhere beneath the surface, barely getting any views. When you are setting a title for your video make sure it is something appealing and exciting. Don't just write 'me swimming' include many words and exciting things so the video would correspond to more search results and appeal to others hence making them click. Think of a title that YOU as a YouTube viewer would click relating to your genre of video.'me swimming' can be turned into ' Backstroke 400m sydney olympic pool'. These little changes drastically improve the amount of people you would see clicking on your video. So you set up a nice title, but thats not enough. You must set a relevant semi - detailed description. Your titles words should be in your description at least once, this will place your video much higher in the search results, under relevant view (default view). Basically try to optimize your tags and description to be as closely matched to your title and video genre as possible. Obviously, the higher up your video is in the search results for a particular tag or keyword the more people will click on it, seeing as it is first in the list.

Upload your video to more then one site

After you upload your video to YouTube, don't stop there upload it to many other sites and community discussion panels under your specific genre. Some good video sites include vimeo

snotr

metacafe

and obviously in the descriptions of your videos for each site post a link to your YouTube channel and or corresponding video. You can write something like ' for more ___ videos visit YouTube.com/xxxxx

Use video responses

This is a very important step, especially if the genre of your video as a high view count.Besides posting your videos as responses to your other videos, make sure to post them as responses to other highly viewed videos in your genre of video. For example - say your genre of video is a comedy video to do with stand up. Find a well viewed high rated on YouTube under the tag of e.g 'comedy stand up' and post your video as a response to it. You will be surprised how many people will start viewing your videos. It's simple but very very effective. Obviously if a popular video on YouTube has lets say 50 million views with an average of 10000 views per day. If your video is a response to that video, thats 10000 more people having the chance of clicking on your video.

Post links to your YouTube channel and/or video on discussion boards.

So, lets say the genre of your YouTube channel or video is 'comedy stand up' find out online comedy websites, or discussion boards and offer up your channel in a post. Remember don't spam! this will just associate you with crappy and non proffessional material. Join a comedy messageboard, and from time to time you may be able to slip in the name of your YouTube video in a post or make a new thread discussing something and mention the name of a funny video you found, you don't even need to say you made it. It's the view count that matters

Make a website dedicated to your YouTube channel

This one may take more time, but having a website to go with your YouTube channel, is a very legitimate addition. It demonstrates your professionalism and has the potential to reach a much greater audience and is obviously easier to link to. A great example of someone who does this is hotforwords. She is YouTubes no.1 guru and the most consistently watched channel. See what I did there, many of you will probably click on that website, the same can be applied to your YouTube channel.

Make good quality videos

This is an obvious one, but make good quality videos. No one is going to want to watch a 20 second clip of a video filmed with a vga camera pointed at your shoes. In conclusion I guarantee you will see an exponential increase in your YouTube video view count with the above methods. It's common sense really.

Learn How To Make Money From YouTube By Grabbing High Visibility Video Traffic

Ever since it was bought over by Google in November 2006 for an incredible $1.65 billion, you could learn how to make money from YouTube by publishing effective videos at the video-sharing website.

Creating videos at home is quite easy. If you have a product, create a video, publish it at YouTube, get enough traffic, and you are bound to make money in many ways. Here are two effective ways to make money off YouTube.

Affiliate Marketing Through YouTube

If you are an affiliate marketer, you cannot miss out on using YouTube as an effective marketing tool. There are many options available, depending on the type of business you are in. For example, if you are promoting a service that teaches people about breeding dogs, YouTube allows you to establish yourself as an expert.

Some marketers publish videos that lead visitors to their websites offering more insight about an affiliate product. It can be a continuous process, where regularly videos are posted at YouTube. In time, the website would have a collection of videos related to the affiliate product, and you can make money fast.

Think of it as an article-publishing site. As the number of published articles increases, the number of visitors leading back to your website increases. However, visibility will greatly increase, if the video quality is good.

In other words, a well-made video will create a viral effect where more and more visitors will become aware of it and spread the word. Another advantage is that the video will be listed higher at YouTube if it is popular. This is how you make money from YouTube as an affiliate.

Use Better Technology And Learn How To Make Money Online Faster

Once you master the art of creating videos and publishing them at YouTube, you are in a position to use better technology to produce high-quality video content focused on your business. You must remember that YouTube is among the 4 to 5 top websites in the world in terms of visitors.

At the same time, a recent review published in April 2011 suggests that only 30% of videos generate 99% of the visitors to YouTube. It implies is that quality of video is absolutely vital in getting qualified traffic.

Generate a high-quality video about a product you are selling, either directly or as an affiliate, and publish it. You can use any of the professional programs available online to produce the video in quick time. Keep publishing similar videos at YouTube. Depending on the frequency of publishing, you will soon start getting valuble traffic to any site of your choice.

Some businessmen use this source to draw attention. They are, in effect, branding themselves to a worldwide audience. The investment they make at this stage in terms of time and some money to create quality videos will always get them closer to people who are interested in what they had to offer.

Once visitors know you as a reliable source, they turn into buyers. You can make money from YouTube in many different ways. Just use similar money-making ideas, and you will have a source of advertising that will bring in loads of cash for as long as you use such unique ways to make money.

The world of Internet marketing has also reaped huge rewards from video and YouTube. Everyone from the most experienced and successful Internet marketing gurus to total beginners have used video and YouTube to generate traffic, build lists, make sales, and accomplish a number of other mission-critical Internet marketing goals.

Big Challenges With YouTube and Online Marketing

But there are some problems with Internet video and YouTube marketing. The majority of people are a little lost when it comes to the breadth of the online video marketing universe and all of its possibilities. There's so much to know and do - from content creation and video production to getting videos online and marketing them so they have audience.

And even though there are plenty of products and resources on the market that purport to help people with their online video and YouTube marketing efforts, there isn't one product that pulls everything together - until now. Well-known Internet marketers

Alex Goad and Mark Dulisse have pooled their talents and resources to create the first truly holistic, end-to-end online video and YouTube marketing product that offers users everything they need to not only get started with Internet video marketing but also to really capitalize on the Internet video and YouTube marketing opportunity.

On top of all of the Internet video and YouTube marketing training, Goad and Dulisse have also developed an application for YouTube that enables you to build massive and highly targeted lists of channel subscribers on autopilot.

All you have to do is enter the name of the channel whose subscribers you to target and the application does all of the "heavy lifting" for you. It will harvest the names of any channel's subscribers and either send then a video to view or invite them to subscribe to your channel.

And, for a very limited time, you can download "Tube Fool" - as the application is called - for free. All you have to do is click on this link and then visit the Dominating Video website and grab your free download.

Whether you've bought other video and YouTube marketing products in the past or not, Dominating Video is a great investment. It is the product that - once and for all - will make you an online video and YouTube marketing expert.

Make sure you click on the link to grab your free download of "Tube Fool" today.

Do I Need a Video to Set Up My YouTube Account?

If you've been wanting to join YouTube but you don't have any videos to share, don't worry. You don't need a video to join YouTube. In fact, the majority of the users on YouTube don't have a video, they just like to watch videos and interact with the other users through comments and ratings. You'll need an account in order to post comments and rate videos, so let's get started with your very own:

The process of signing up for YouTube is pretty simple, more so than getting an email account at most places. Just click Create Account at the top of their homepage. You'll be asked to choose a username. There are many users on YouTube so most of the short or obvious names are already taken. Use something unique or add some numbers to your preferred login name. You can click Check Availability to see if the name is available, and this will help you skip having to think of another name later in the sign up process.

Next you'll want to choose your location, date of birth, and gender. Your location will establish which features and what kinds of videos you will be shown. This can be changed later if you're not satisfied with your options. Your date of birth is used to filter out videos that are tagged for mature audiences. Gender is most likely used for demographic tracking by YouTube so they can let advertisers know which videos are being watched by women and men.

You can check the box if you want people to be able to find your YouTube account with their email. If you enable this, and a friend of yours joins YouTube they can scan their email contact list for people that already have YouTube accounts. That way they can add you as a friend on YouTube. Next check the box if you want to receive updates from YouTube. I recommend turning that one off because they send enough useless emails even if you don't click the box. Last, click on I Accept at the bottom stating that you've read their Terms of Service and you're in.

You'll want to click on the verification link in the confirmation email they will send you. The will give your account all of the features with no restrictions. If you do decide to upload a video or make one with your webcam later, you will need to have confirmed your email address so it's best to get it out of the way at the beginning.

Note: If you have a Google account you can already access YouTube with it. Just visit YouTube while logged in to Google, and you'll see that you're already logged in to YouTube. If you don't have a Google account you will automatically get one when you sign up for YouTube. You can then add additional Google services to your account once you have it set up, like Gmail.

Web Video Broadcasting - Creating Your Own YouTube Channel

If you've been dabbling in online video marketing and have a few marketing videos hosted at YouTube, you may be ready for the next step: creating a YouTube channel. A YouTube channel is like a sophisticated form of an online profile. At its most basic, the channel displays your user name, profile, and thumbnails of your Web video collection. In fact, all registered YouTube users have a basic channel. You can check your own channel by signing into YouTube, clicking on your user name (in the upper-right corner of the screen), and selecting "Account." However, who wants to settle for being basic? Let's take a look at a couple of companies that have taken their YouTube channels to more creative heights.

Best Buy's Geek Squad is successfully using social media and YouTube to reach consumers.Geek Squad uses online videos to share short, "Two Minute Miracle" consumer electronics tips with viewers while also building brand loyalty in the process. After all, if you subscribe to Geek Squad's channel and regularly learn about consumer electronics from these geeky techs, who are you going to call when you need help on more challenging computer or home theatre installation tasks?

The background of Geek Squad's channel features the Geek Squad logo which is immediately recognizable and brands the channel appropriately. In the center of the screen is a current Web video alongside smaller thumbnails of other recent marketing videos uploaded by Geek Squad. As you explore the page, you'll see "modules" containing additional information such as the Geek Squad profile, recent activity, comments, and subscribers.

Another example is the Big Cat Rescue channel, or Big Cat TV. This channel has been customized even further than Geek Squad's. You'll notice a graphic header across the top of the channel as well as the familiar modules such as the user's profile and Web video list. The primary video automatically plays, music blaring. The creator of this channel also incorporated a "donate now" image as well as links to affiliated Web sites and social media accounts. Note that these are "nofollow" links, so including the links does not improve your site's ranking. Include links not for SEO but for building relationships with your viewers.

Viewers can reach a YouTube channel by clicking on your user name after discovering one of your online YouTube videos. If they like what they see, they can then subscribe to the channel where your relationship building begins. Subscribers are notified of new videos thus increasing the likelihood of future views of your marketing videos!

What's more, you can even embed your YouTube channel, or another YouTube user's channel into a Web site just as you embed individual videos. Consider creating a YouTube channel and then embedding it into your Web site or blog. This allows your existing visitors to easily browse through your Web video collection without having to leave your site.Meanwhile, your channel remains discoverable on YouTube, potentially sending YouTube viewers to your Web site for additional information.

Ready to take your existing YouTube channel to new heights?Start by logging into YouTube and going into your account settings area. Once in Account Settings, find the Edit Channel link in the main pane just below Insight. This takes you to the Edit Channel Info screen which displays basic information about your channel such as its URL and type. Click on the Channel Design link. Inside the editing area, you'll see your channel's basic layout with default modules, each of which can be edited or removed. Along the top of the page are tabs (Edit Channel, Settings, Themes and Colors, and Modules). Explore these tabs and customize your channel with your logo, color scheme, and other preferences.

If you haven't explored creating your own YouTube channel to showcase your Web and marketing videos, why not do so now?
