How and Why You Should Market Your YouTube Videos

Do you enjoy uploading videos that you made to the YouTube website? If so, you may be pleased with all of the traffic that you get. You Tube is known to get thousands of visitors a day. For you, this means that your videos may be watched by thousands of people or more! As much traffic as YouTube brings you and your videos, you may be looking for more. If you are, you will want to examine other ways to market your YouTube videos. Just a few of the many marketing approaches that you can take are outlined below.

Perhaps, the easiest way to market your videos is to let friends, family members, or coworkers know that you have videos available for viewing on YouTube. For the best chance of success, you are advised to email the direct links for your videos to those that you know. If you just happen to mention having your videos on YouTube to a friend in passing, let them know what your videos are about or what your screen name is. YouTube allows site visitors to browse through all of their videos or search for something in particular, like one of your videos.

Another one of the many ways that you can market your video is by having any of your videos appear on any websites or blogs that you have. What is nice about YouTube is that you can easily get a few HTML codes. Those codes will enable you or any other internet users to post a video online. It is not uncommon for bloggers to insert a YouTube video in their blog, by using generated HTML codes. It is advised that you post your own YouTube videos on your own websites, but if you know of anyone else who has a blog, you may want to think about giving them the needed HTML codes to have your YouTube video appear on their blog. In most cases, you will find that even strangers are willing to do so, as long as your video is connected, in one way or another, to their blog or website.

You can also market your YouTube videos on online message boards. Online message board marketing can be done two different ways. For instance, there are a large number of online message boards that let you discuss of share anything, in general, with other board members. You may want to think about posting links to some of your YouTube videos, especially if you think the other members would enjoy watching them. If you belong to an online message board or forum that allows you to have a signature, you will want to look into doing so. Your signature will always appear at the end of each of your messages; therefore, the more active you are online, the more exposure your YouTube videos are likely to get.

Now that you know a few ways that you can go about marketing your videos to other internet users, you may be wondering exactly why you should. As it was mentioned above, YouTube, alone, is likely to generate thousands of viewers for your videos. If you are looking for more views, whether just to increase your online popularity or to help you get new clients, if you connect your videos to your business somehow, you will want to take the time to market your videos. What is nice is that you have a number of different methods available, including the three mentioned above, and most are free. In fact, marketing your YouTube videos to other internet users isn't only free, but it is easy to. Many marketing tactics will only take up a few minutes of your time, if even that.

The decision as to whether or not you want further market your YouTube videos is yours to make. If you find yourself unsatisfied or unhappy with your current viewer ship, you may want to think about doing a little bit of your own marketing.

5 Ways to Market Your Youtube Videos and Get More Website Traffic

If you're currently uploading videos onto Youtube for more potential business or are looking to do so, then this article is just for you. Because inside, you will learn a vast amount of ways to get traffic to your website from using Youtube.

As you already know, Youtube is very popular. In fact, it's so popular, that it's currently ranked one of the top 10 sites on the internet in terms of the amount of internet traffic that it gets. So if you're not marketing on Youtube or are using it ineffectively, you're missing out on a ton of new customers that you could be getting on a daily basis.

But first, let's talk about why you would want to market on Youtube. I'm sure you're heard of the term "social networking" or "social marketing". Well, Youtube is more than a video site - it's a social site - and has a ton of user interaction each and everyday. So if you don't like the idea of social marketing, then Youtube can be your answer, because it is a social networking site.

Since uploading videos to Youtube is a form of social marketing, it only makes sense that one of the easiest ways to get traffic to your website from Youtube is to let your friends and family members know about the Youtube videos that you created. Right?

On Youtube (and social networking sites in general), you can make a lot of friends quickly. A great way to make relevant friends on Youtube is to subscribe to channels of users who create similar videos that you do. Some of these users will in turn subscribe to your Youtube channel just because they want to make new friends also. So when you create a new video, guess what? Your new friends will get a notice that you created a new video!

Oh and by the way, I use the term "Youtube channel" because uploading videos to Youtube is like having your own tv station. Viewers can tune into your channel to see if you have anything new, and can watch whatever you have to offer, and watch it anytime they like. But showing your videos to friends is just one great way to get traffic to your website. Another great way is via classified ads.

There are two great classified ads sites that I use to get traffic to my website, and if you want to make your Youtube videos very popular and get more subscribers to your channel, you will want to link to your videos via classified ad websites.

One great classified ad site that I use is usfreeads.com. It currently costs $9.99/month to post ads on this website but it is definitely worth it. With your $9.99 a month membership, you can post unlimited amounts of classified ads. This means that each time you post a new Youtube video, you can market it via your usfreeads.com account, and get more traffic to your video.

With more traffic, you get more views and more subscribers assuming that your information is awesome. But you don't have to stop at classified ads, you can also market your Youtube video via your blog.

In addition to uploading your videos to Youtube, you can upload your videos to your blog and create something that is called a "video blog" - or vlog. Video blogs are just what they sound like - blogs created out of videos. You will want to do some blogging and pinging to get the search engines to index your content, and also will want to do some RSS marketing to get others to insert your blog content onto their website.

But you don't have to stop here. You can also do some viral marketing. Video's in and of themselves can become viral, but the kind of viral marketing I'm talking about is with free ebooks. You can write ebooks related to your niche, and distribute them around the internet via free ebook directories and article marketing. With the ebook directories, you simply insert information about your ebook, and include the link to your.PDF ebook, and submit your info.

With article marketing, you can write articles about a particular topic and submit them to the article directories. You will want to link to your free ebook page where others can download and read it. You will want to include a short blurb that others can pass it around freely - and not modify its contents. In your free ebook, you should include links to your Youtube videos so that you can get traffic to them, and build your Youtube channel subscribers.

Do you see how easy all of this can be? It's very simple, and once you start doing it yourself, you will see how easy it is too. Good luck on your Youtube marketing efforts, and I wish you the best on your Youtube marketing campaigns.

How to Market a Business Using YouTube

Do you know how to market a business using YouTube? It likely comes as no surprise that YouTube will help get your business seen. YouTube has existed for over 5 years and is without a doubt the most effectual medium for distributing video online. The company, which uses the slogan, "Broadcast Yourself", permits people everywhere to upload and view videos about almost anything. Your business can indeed profit from being represented on this Google-backed media titan. All you need to do is follow a few simple rules.

How to Market a Business Using YouTube
Here is a list of the equipment you will need: a video, a computer, an Internet connection, and a YouTube account (no cost here!). When you first create your YouTube account, a YouTube "Channel" will be created for you. A "Channel" is a user profile where visitors can see all of the content you have ever uploaded.

Uploading YouTube Videos Is Easy
To add new content to YouTube, click the "Upload" link in the upper right area of the YouTube home page. If you didn't already sign in, you will be prompted to sign in to your YouTube account. YouTube has some limitations as to the length of your video content. Keep your video file size to less that 2 GB (2,000 MB or 2,000,000 KB) or about 15 minutes in length and you will not run into upload problems. Keep in mind that High Definition video creates larger files than Standard Definition video for the same length video. Despite the size allowed by YouTube, try to keep the length of your videos to close to 5 minutes to avoid possibly boring your audience.

Finding your video on YouTube
One of the most important components to know about how to market a business using YouTube is associating info to your content. In order for YouTube users to find your content, you are either going to tell them specifically where to find it using a web address of some sort or they are going to search and find it using either the search tool within YouTube itself or another search engine like Google, etc. In fact, in most cases, customers find YouTube content using the search engines. Given that, again, it is paramount that you associate info to your content.

Describe your content
While your video is uploading to the YouTube web site, you can supply some details about the video. In the Video Information section, while filling in a title, description, "tags" and category, it is important to think like the customer you would like to find the video. Think of words people use every day. What will they be searching for? These search terms are called "keywords" or "keyword phrases". For example, if you have a home based business in obedience dog training, people might search on "agility training". Be sure to include these keywords or keyword phrases in each of the title, description, and tag fields. That said, do NOT overload these fields by stuffing too many keywords or keyword phrases into these fields. Keep in mind, people are reading this information too, not just computers, so pick the best keywords or keyword phrases and use them.

In the Broadcasting and Sharing Options section, you have the choice of making the video Public, Private, or Unlisted. In order to make your video available to the largest number of viewers, you will likely want to make your video content Public so viewers can easily find your business. Setting your broadcasts to Private means only those you invite can see your videos. Unlisted means only those with a specific link can see your videos. Private and Unlisted videos are not searchable via search engines like Google, etc.

If you have a local business or wish to market to specific geographic locations, you can dictate a Map Location in the Date and Map section as well. This would be helpful, for example, if a customer searching for the aforementioned obedience dog training customer searched using the "obedience training ridgefield ct" keyword phrase.

YouTube Video Tips
Here are some final tips about how to market a business using YouTube. Make sure you have suitable lighting. Shoot your video outdoors if possible. If you are using a video camera to record yourself or another person indoors, make sure images are well lit and easily visible. If you are creating a video slideshow, use high-quality pictures. Do not use blurry or distorted images in your video slideshows. Viewers will become quickly annoyed, your message will not be well conveyed, and you may lessen the value of your brand.
